Annual Meetings
The annual meetings of the APF are one of the largest regular human rights events in the Asia Pacific.
They bring together APF members and other national human rights institutions, United Nations agencies, national governments, non-government organisations and donor groups in a cooperative setting to discuss and share expertise on the pressing human rights issues in the region.
The annual meetings have a strong record in developing practical approaches to promote human rights in the Asia Pacific, such as developing region-wide training and technical co-operation programs and supporting the establishment of new national human rights institutions.
The first day of the annual meeting is generally set aside as a business session for APF members to discuss issues and make decisions through the Forum Council. The following sessions feature presentations and discussions involving APF members and a broad range of organisations.
