The Commission plans to develop a framework to promote human rights management and support government, public institutions and business.

The National Human Rights Commission of Korea is pushing ahead with research to establish a business and human rights roadmap for the country.

The Commission will identify issues and trends at the domestic and international levels to develop a comprehensive framework to promote human rights management and support the government, public institutions and business.

The Commission will draw on discussions around business and human rights that are taking place within the international community, including the UN and the OECD, as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Commission plans to identify mid-term and long-term strategies for human rights management and propose roles and cooperative measures for government, public institutions and private enterprise.

In addition, it will develop a manual on human rights management for public institutions in financing and investment to enhance implementation of the roadmap.
