28th Annual Pacific Rim International Conference on Disability & Diversity
To be held in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 26-27 2012, preceded by the Pacific Rim International Forum on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The 28th Annual Pacific Rim International Conference on Disability & Diversity (Pac Rim) will bring together a diverse international gathering of academics, community leaders, self-advocates, specialists and officials.
The conference, to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 26-27, 2012, aims to inspire, educate and illuminate.
With over 18 topic areas, 200 presentations and several institutes, the programs is fertile ground for dialogue and exchange.
The theme for this year’s conference is: ‘Living to our complete potential’.

The Pacific Rim International Forum on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
The Pacific Rim International Forum, to be held in the lead-up to the Conference on 24-25 March 2012, will highlight the potential to transform lives and communities through the theoretical and practical application of human rights norms and standards.
The 2012 Forum seeks to engage participants in a lively discussion on key areas which support and facilitate the realisation of fundamental human rights for millions of persons with disabilities, as expressed in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
