Mongolian and Korean NHRIs deepen cooperation

The national human rights institutions of Mongolia and Korea have struck a partnership to strengthen their cooperation across a range of areas.

The national human rights institutions of Mongolia and Korea have struck a partnership to strengthen their cooperation across a range of areas, including human rights promotion and training.

A key focus of the new agreement is to share information and resources in order to ensure that Mongolian citizens living in the Republic of Korea and Korean citizens living in Mongolia have access to human rights support when it is required.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 25 August 2015 by the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, Jamsran Byambadorj, and the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, Justice Lee Sung-Ho.

Also in attendance was the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia, H.E. Oh Song.
