Senior managers from all APF member institutions will help develop a set of practice-based guides on key operational issues for national human rights institutions (NHRIs), as part of an upcoming meeting of the APF Senior Executive Officers (SEO) Network.

The short Operations Guides aim to highlight best practice and policy examples from across the APF membership on topics that are essential for the effective operation of NHRIs.

The topics will be selected by SEO Network members, drawing on their insights about the type of information that would be most beneficial for their work.

The SEO Roundtable Meeting will be held on 29 -30 August 2017 in Melaka, Malaysia.

This year's meeting is being generously hosted by the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM).

Network members will discuss the key challenges facing their respective NHRIs and the training programs and other services that the APF can provide to further strengthen their institutions and their staff.

Established in 2001, the SEO Network provides an opportunity for the senior management of NHRIs in the Asia Pacific to build relationships and share expertise on a wide range of operational, management and human rights issues.
