ICC Meetings
The ICC Meeting is held annually, usually in conjunction with the first quarter session of the UN Human Rights Council.
An ICC Meeting is also held in conjunction with the bi-annual ICC International Conference.
ICC Meetings provide an opportunity for national human rights institutions (NHRIs) to engage with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and to consider the UN Secretary General’s reports to the Human Rights Council.
An important feature of the meeting is to consider and adopt the report and recommendations of the ICC’s Sub-Committee on Accreditation.
Each regional grouping – Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Asia Pacific – is represented on the ICC by elected representatives from four ‘A status’ NHRIs. The APF is currently represented by New Zealand, Jordan, Malaysia and India.
