Migrant Workers' Rights Focal Points

During the 15th Annual Meeting in 2010, the APF agreed to establish focal points in interested national human rights institutions to share their knowledge, skills and expertise on the rights of migrant workers.

Participating NHRIs have nominated an experienced staff member to be their focal point.

The role of the focal points is to:

  • help identify NHRI best practices in promoting and protecting the rights of migrant workers
  • provide input into the development of an APF training manual on the rights of migrant workers
  • help identify NHRI staff members with the expertise to carry out training on the rights of migrant workers.
