Members
The APF is a regional, member-based organisation made up of national human rights institutions from across the Asia Pacific.
We currently have 15 full members and three associate members.
To be admitted as a full member, a national human rights institution must comply with the minimum international standards set out in the Paris Principles.
To ensure consistency and to minimise duplication, we adopt the accreditation decisions of the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC) to determine APF membership status.
We also provide practical support to our members before, during and after the ICC accreditation process.
Benefits
The APF benefits from the expertise, knowledge and support that our member institutions contribute to the Forum Council and our annual meetings.
We also benefit from the partnerships that our members establish with each other, individually and in sub-regional groups.
In turn, members benefit from the cooperation and networks facilitated by the APF, along with the training programs, staff exchanges and other services available to Commissioners and staff.
