International Service for Human Rights

ISHR is an international non-governmental organisation serving human rights defenders.

The International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) is an international NGO serving human rights defenders.

Its vision is the development, strengthening, effective use and implementation of international and regional standards and mechanisms for the protection and promotion of human rights.

ISHR works towards this vision by supporting, encouraging and facilitating the work of others with and within the UN system and regional human rights systems.

The APF has collaborated with the ISHR to develop two major training programs for our members: Human Rights Defenders and International Human Rights System.

These training programs have been delivered by experienced ISHR trainers, with input and support from the APF.

The ISHR has also provided valuable support to APF representatives attending meetings of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
