The APF is seeking an experienced project manager to coordinate our broad suite of human rights training programs.


The APF is seeking an experienced project manager to coordinate our broad suite of human rights training programs.

Our blended learning training programs help build the professional skills and strengthen the capacity of Commissioners and staff working in national human rights institutions across the Asia Pacific region.

The position is based in Sydney, Australia and overseas travel is required.

Role

Working closely with subject matter experts, training partners and member institutions, this position will project manage and coordinate the APF's blended learning training programs, including online and face-to-face delivery. This will include:

  • Project planning, logistics and stakeholder liaison, coordinating the delivery of training
  • Manage and review program materials, including the coordination of online platforms
  • Manage needs assessments and evaluations of APF training courses
  • Manage the logistics and activity budgets, including relevant administration
  • Nurture relations with member institutions, trainers, subject matter experts and internal staff.

Skills

With an understanding of international human rights, you have strong project management and coordination skills, including:

  • Project planning, logistics and stakeholder liaison
  • Knowledge and experience of monitoring and evaluation tools
  • An ability to manage activity budgets
  • Excellent English-language skills. Additional languages (preferably Arabic or an Asian language) an advantage
  • Availability to travel internationally to facilitate training delivery.
