Commission receives more than 600 complaints

The Commission also conducted 266 inquiries in 2019, as well as provided legal advice to 1,030 people and organisations.

The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia received 622 complaints from people and organisations in 2019, with 582 resolved through actions by the Commission.

Commission staff in the country's provinces received 205 complaints during the year, with 162 resolved.

In addition, the Commission conducted 266 inquiries in 2019: 48 were planned, 47 were conducted upon receiving complaints from individuals and organisations; 11 were conducted within the scope of an MoU with partner organisations; and the remaining inquiries were conducted with regard to implementation of the Law of Mongolia on Gender equality.

Further, the Commission provided legal assistance of 19212 minutes (more than 320 hours) to 1,030 people and organisations, in person (677), through phone calls (104) and by email (17).

Of the people and organisations requesting advice, 129 were located in Ulaanbaatar (2,467 minutes) and the remaining 901 were from provincial areas (16,212 minutes).
