As part of their efforts to respond to COVD-19, the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights is supporting vulnerable and low-income families in a number of Baghdad neighbourhoods during the quarantine period.

The IHCHR Monitoring Department has distributed food baskets to more than 75 families in the western districts of Baghdad, as well as meals for members of security forces at a number of checkpoints in central Baghdad.

The IHCHR said the gesture was to recognise their efforts in providing security and implementing preventive measures during the COVID-19 quarantine.
