The National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights and the Kurdistan Independent Human Rights Commission have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate and exchange expertise.
The agreement was made during a workshop in Amman organised by the NCHR in cooperation with the United Nations Development Fund for the staff of the two commissions.
The five-day workshop discussed the expertise of the NCHR and the obstacles it faces, as well as ways to spread a culture of human rights.
It also reviewed relations with international organisations concerned with human rights and the role of the NCHR in coordinating among the Arab human rights institutions.
