NIHR extends support to migrant workers’ body

Bahrain's national human rights institution is also reviewing a draft Law on Domestic Workers.

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights has reviewed the recommendations prepared by the NIHR's Secretariat-General on the Draft Law on Domestic Workers.

The meeting also discussed ways to provide support and assistance to the Association of Expatriate Workers to enable it to carry out its tasks and implement its objectives in full.

The Committee held its 10th regular meeting held under the Chairpersonship of Dr. Hameed Ahmed Hussein, and membership of Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al-Derazi and Mrs. Widad Radii Al-Mousawi, at the NIHR's headquarters in Seef District.
