Collaborating and sharing knowledge

One of the great strengths of the APF is the solidarity that exists between our members.

Despite the diverse social, cultural and political environments in which they operate, our members are committed to sharing experiences, exchanging information and working collaboratively to address common human rights challenges.

The APF holds an Annual Meeting that provides our members with the opportunity to discuss, debate and develop a strong collective voice on the pressing issues they face. Every second year, we host a major conference in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. It is one of the largest regular human rights events in the Asia Pacific region.

In addition, the APF convenes professional networks to support Commissioners and staff from our members to share information and resources, develop cooperative partnerships and establish "best practice" standards.

It is very good to be with the others and learn from the others. In our case, it has been very helpful and they always support us when we are in a difficult situation.
